I have been using my Tineco vacuum mop for the last couple of months now and it is definitely one of the best purchases I made this year.
It has lived up to its hype and helped me clean effortlessly be it my room, kitchen or garage, the vacuum mop proved to be reliable with automatic cleaning and a good battery backup.
It even saved my weekends, which I used to spend running around the house double-cleaning everything. It never really gave me an issue until yesterday when it just stopped spraying water and the brush ran dry.
I turned it on and the brush motor was spinning like usual but the nozzle did not spray any water leaving the floor dry.
At first, I thought I must’ve forgot to fill up the clean water tank like I do sometimes but nope, it was full and seated in its place.
By the way, before you continue reading this article you may first watch the short YouTube video I made about this topic. You can watch the video down below.
In the video, I demonstrated how I solved this issue by checking if there’s anything wrong in the different parts of the Tineco Vacuum Mop like the clean water tank and water pump tube.
How to Fix Tineco Vacuum Mop Not Spraying Water
This is what I did to troubleshoot and fix the issue, follow along if you’re stuck in a similar situation.
1. Check the clean water tank
The first thing I decided to check when the water didn’t come out was the clean water tank that is supposed to spray out water when the trigger is pushed.
I removed the clean water tank and pressed the valve at the bottom to see if the water flowed; it did which means that the valve was working.
Once it was assured that there’s nothing wrong with the clean water tank, I tightly closed the lid and put the tank back securely.
Make sure you firmly press the water tank into the slot till you hear a “click” to ensure it is seated properly and get it replaced if the tank or the valve is damaged.
2. Check the water pump tube
After I confirmed that the clean water tank released the water without any issues the next thing I decided to check was if there is any debris clogging the pump tube.
I pulled out the tube from the pump using a plier, remember to do this step gently otherwise the tube might crack and start leaking.
After removing the tube and the tank, I manually added the water into the water inlet that leads to the pump tube, the water came out perfectly, indicating clear passage.
I clicked the water tank back in to check again but the water tank still didn’t release the water which means the water is not reaching the pump because of the tank valve.
Next, I rechecked the water tank and the tube to see what the problem was. It took me a while, but I noticed two loose screws under the water tank.
I took a screwdriver to tighten the loose screws and the water started spraying perfectly out of the nozzle again, completely removing the issue for me.
3. Check the pump and nozzle
Tightening the screws fixed the issue for me, but if inspecting the tube did not fix the issue for you and the water is coming out properly from the tank, the pump or the nozzle must be faulty.
To check if that’s the case, try this: refill the clean water tank, install it properly into the slot and try pressing down the spray trigger for 15-20 seconds.
Sometimes it’s just debris or air stuck in that should get cleared with the water flow and water should start coming out of the yellow nozzle properly.
If it still didn’t spray out the water, that must be because of a bad pump motor or a clogged nozzle, unclog the nozzle or contact customer service to replace the motor and fix the problem.
