Last week the roller on my Tineco Vacuum just stopped moving, the water was being sprayed out of the mop but nothing was being wiped.
It was as if the roller was stuck in place and the motor was trying hard to push it as I could hear the whine of the motor trying to move.
On a closer inspection it was clear that something had gone wrong, I was confused and did not know what to do so I decided to open it apart and fix this problem by myself.

On the video below, I demonstrated the things you can do to solve this issue like reinstalling the brush roller, inspecting the drive mechanism, manually rolling the roller, and checking the special switch.
Tineco Vacuum Mop Brush Roller Not Spinning: What You Need to Check
1. Reinstall the Brush correctly
The brush roller on your Tineco mop may refuse to spin due to several reasons, it can happen due to a stuck roller, debris stuck in the roller, bad motor mechanism or loose wiring.
Start by removing the roller and giving it a good clean while removing all the stuck hairs caught in the roller.
When I looked closely at the roller it seemed to have detached from the connector of the roller so I decided to remove it and connect it again.
Try this method to check if it’s not connected to the base or is loose. This might save you time and money before trying the other methods.
2. Check the Drive Mechanism
When the roller seemed connected firmly to the motor I tried opening the mop head and checking for the drive mechanism of the roller, inspecting to see if the wirings and the motor were properly connected.
Closely look for any loose wiring or burns near the motor area, if everything looks good try fixing it with other methods.
3. Manually Rotate the Roller with Hands
You can also manually rotate the brush roller to see if it feels stuck or not, if it doesn’t feel stuck and everything looks perfect it might be something else that was causing the problem.
I used my hands to rotate it while it was off to see it felt stuck, and it turns out it indeed was. If it feels stuck give the mop head a good clean and make sure no stuck hairs are preventing the roller from moving.
4. Check the Switch Controlling Pump and Roller Motor
There is a special switch on the Tineco mop which cuts power to the roller when pressed and restores the power when released.
This switch also controls the water pump which sprays the water so if your sprayer and roller are both not working this switch may be causing the problem for you. Inspect if its pressed or remove it metal trigger to fix the problem.
