Your Manscaped trimmer might not charge or work due to several reasons including when this smart feature is activated and trust me even I was shocked to find this out.
By the way, I also have a short video about this topic which you may want to watch before you continue reading this article. You can watch it below.
On the video, I discussed the possible reasons why your Manscaped trimmer won’t charge like if its travel lock feature was accidentally activated, a dead battery or a charging coil issue.
How to Fix Manscaped Not Charging
The travel lock, if activated, will prevent the trimmer from charging or working. It can be activated by pressing the power button 3 times and the light would go from low to high.
To deactivate the feature, press the power button 3 times again and the light indicator will go from high to low removing the travel lock.
It is to ensure that the trimmer does not accidentally start running while you travel from one place to another. Once removed I could finally use my trimmer again without any problems.
If your trimmer is not working even after removing the travel lock then the problem might be due to a dead battery or charging coil failure.

The Manscaped trimmer uses inductive charging or wireless charging to charge itself but if the coil is broken it wont charge.
To make sure of things I quickly opened the trimmer using a thin prying tool and removed its plastic shielding, it can take a bit of time to enter inside as the main board is neatly hidden inside the trimmer using screws and plastic looks to keep it waterproof.
Once I was inside I quickly checked if the charging coil was fine or the battery had swollen, and to my surprise everything seemed fine.
Then I took the whole board and placed it on the charger to test its charging coil, if the charging process was working the board would light up indicating that the battery is charging. If not that means your coil has gone bad.
After everything felt fine with the wireless charging, I quickly inspected to see if the battery was expanded or swollen, both of which scenarios are bad and only replacing the battery with a similar one can fix the issue of Manscaped trimmer not working.
In the end, I tested the battery voltage using a multimeter, the trimmer runs on a 3.7V battery so you want to see a rating that is close to the 3.7V mark.
During my testing I recorded a voltage of 3.78V meaning my battery was completely fine but if you see a voltage that is far below 3.7V your battery might be dead which is causing your Manscaped trimmer to not work.
