During the last weekend I decided to clean my house using my Tineco Vacuum mop. I am mostly busy with my job during the weekdays and for the weekend when I was finally free this sounded like the perfect plan.
I grabbed my Tineco vacuum mop and turned it on, but soon things turned the other way around for me. As soon as I started cleaning with my vacuum mop it was not suctioning and the dirty water tank remained empty.
It felt like the mop was losing all its suction power and stopped working entirely as it did not wipe the dirty areas clean for me. I knew something was wrong with my Tineco vacuum cleaner and I decided to take the help of the internet.
But before you go on reading this article, I also have a short video in which I demonstrated the possible solutions to this problem. You can watch it below.
The most common reasons why your Tineco vacuum mop will have a problem with suctioning are a weak motor, a blockage, using a wrong Tineco cleaning solution, or a broken tube.
4 Methods to Fix a Tineco Vacuum Mop Not Suctioning
Here are some fixes I found that helped me fix my Tineco vacuum not suctioning problem.
Fix 1 – Clean the Mop Head Free of Any Debris
1. The mop head of the Tineco Vacuum mop is responsible for cleaning and mopping the floor clean by removing and suctioning any debris and dirt off the floor.
If the head is clustered with dirt and debris it will lose all its suctioning power and will not work properly.
2. To ensure it works properly, press the release button and open the mop head and clean both brush rollers with the help of soapy water and clean water.
Then, clean the suction inlet using a paper towel ensuring it’s free of any debris and stuck particles.
3. This will ensure the Tineco vacuum mop properly cleans and sucks the dirty water and debris into the tank.
Fix 2 – Clean Water Inlet Valve
1. The clean water inlet valve is responsible for sending clean water to the Tineco vacuum mop from the clean water tank. Check if the Vacuum inlet is blocked or not by removing the clean water tank and looking for any blockages.
The Tineco water inlet is located right below where the water tank is fitted.
2. Clean the water inlet with clean water and make sure it is free of any debris or dirt which might stop the water from entering the Vacuum.
Once cleaned the problem should now be fixed and the Tineco vacuum mop should now start suctioning properly.
3. Other cleaning agents might produce too much foam and might cause the vacuum to lose its suctioning power. It is recommended to only use Tineco cleaning agents and not any other alternative.
Fix 3 – Lubricating Motor with WD40
1. If your Tineco vacuum mop is having low suction it might require some lubricating in its motors. Remove the mop head and access the motor area near the suction inlet of the Tineco vacuum mop.
2. Take WD40 and gently spray the motor area with it, while making sure the vacuum is not plugged in or turned on. Clean the access lubricant using a paper towel and leave the vacuum for a while to spread the lubricant.
3. After 2-3 minutes turn on your Tineco vacuum mop and check for suction. The problem should now be resolved and your Tineco vacuum mop should work properly.
Fix 4 – Replace The Broken Hose Tube
1. A broken hose tube of Tineco vacuum cleaner can cause the no suction and dirty tank not filling up problem as the vacuum cleaner loses all its suction power due the broken hose.
2. Locate the hose which is located just above the brush roller and can be accessed by removing the mop head. Check if the hose is broken or if it’s leaking any air.
3. If any leakages or cracks are found I would recommend replacing the hose with a new one which will fix the problem for you and your Tineco vacuum will function properly.
Otherwise you can use a water hose and insert it in the broken hose to fix the problem.
I also made a short video about how you can do this and you can watch it below.
I use a water hose that fit into the original tube. It’s around 10cm in length and I insert it to the tube. This water hose will now serve as a replacement tube, so my Tineco Vacuum Mop will start to work again.
