The calculator does all the math while you work with cutting and putting together. To use it: Choose how much overlay you want, the calculator takes that away from the opening width, then pick the number of leaves and the calculator will divide the door width equally into those spaces. It even allows for a centered reveal when using double doors by taking the center reveal amount away from the opening width first.

Then when it arrives, you confirm the boards are straight grained. It multiplies one set of cabinet door sizes by however many cabinets you have. It’s easy; type in how many doors are exactly alike and the calculator adds up the panels, rails and stiles needed.
Then it will turn all that into board feet. So if your kitchen has three rows of drawer fronts vs. One pantry door, for instance, you can see which material is most economical. Before you go to the lumberyard.
