EBL C802 Battery Charger Light Meaning

The other night I popped a couple of AA batteries into my EBL C802 charger and walked away like I always do. But when I came back after a couple of hours I noticed something unusual.

The red light was blinking continuously and the green light was no longer flashing on the charger. Usually when I see the green light I leave the charger alone to do its work but this time it was not there.

I had no clue what was happening and that’s when I decided to figure out what was going on. I pulled out the manual for the EBL charger and started reading the meanings behind the light codes.

I also made a short video about this topic and you can watch it below.

A solid green means the battery is already fully charged, a solid red means the battery is still charging, and a flashing red indicates a bad or incompatible battery.

EBL C802 Battery Charger Lights: What They Mean

After a thorough reading, I came to understand that these light codes are more helpful than you might think. They try to communicate with the users without even saying a word. Here is what the light codes on the charger mean.

Solid Green – This is the light that I love the most, it tells me when the charging process has completed and the batteries are ready to be used again.

I use my AAA batteries alot in my tools and the EBL charger helps me get back on my work as soon as possible. When you see a solid green light, you can take off your batteries and use it as you want.

Solid Red Companied by Solid Green – I usually leave my batteries alone when they charge for at least 4-5 hours. To make sure I don’t over charge them I keep my eye on the solid red indicator on the EBL C802 charger.

As long as you see the solid red light along with the green light, it means that your batteries are charging normally.

Blinking red – If you see a red flashing light then I have bad news for you. The red flashing light on the charger means that the battery is dead or incompatible with the charger.

In most of the cases the battery has lost its voltage and is not able to hold a charge, replacing the battery with a new one can fix your problem.

The EBL C802 battery charger is one of the best chargers out in the market, it can charge both AA/AAA batteries and the bigger 9V batteries too.

I always make sure to charge an even number of batteries together, putting only one AA battery will not start the charging process. You can either charge 2 batteries or 4 batteries at a single time.
