Choosing the right size for a steam generator is really important. Too big a device can lead to extra expense of energy. If the unit is too small, it will not be enough for the needs of the space, what causes troubles.

How to Choose the Right Size Steam Generator
Knowing what size your steam generator needs is the first step for choosing new. Measure the length, width and height of the steam room in feet. Multiply those three values to find the volume of the room.
Do not remove the space for benches or other moving objects, because they still require heat for the surface.
The kind of materials in the steam room affects a lot. Some materials require more time to warm than others. When the room is made of smooth stuff like acrylic, fiberglass or formed plastic, one can use a bit smaller steam generator than the usual advice.
Those standard guidelines about size usually count with ceramic tile floor. Rather, porous materials, for instance natural stone, marble, concrete or glass block, require a bigger steam generator. Specially for natural stones, multiply the room volume by 1.5 to receive the corrected value.
The ceiling height also matters. For every extra foot above eight feet, choose the next bigger steam generator, until ten feet. The materials of the internal wall do not affect this part of the calculation.
After the corrections are applied, you receive the adjusted cubic foot. The chosen steam generator must match or beat that corrected cubic foot. Combining the cubic foot of the shower with the right corrections, one finds the final number four use.
