I remember the first time my Philips Sonicare toothbrush started throwing weird light signals at me, leaving me confused with questions such as Is it charging? Is it low on charge?.
I had no idea if I was charging it the right way, or for the right time or when I had to recharge it again until I decided to take things into my own hands.
With the help of the internet and the manual guide that comes with the Philips Sonicare Toothbrush, I figured out what each light code meant and what all the different light signals mean.
I also made a short video about this topic to help you understand it even better. You can watch the video below.
On the video, I briefly discussed the different meanings of the indicator lights when the Philips Sonicare toothbrush is on the charger and when it’s not on the charger.
Philips Sonicare Toothbrush Charging Indicator Light Meanings
6 different light codes might be displayed on the Philips Sonicare Toothbrush, all meaning different charging status and battery levels.
On Charger
1. Solid Green – The Solid Green light indicator is displayed when the charger is connected to the brush and the battery is full. If you see a solid green light on the handle of the brush, it means the brush is fully charged.
2. Flashing Green – The flashing green light on the Philips Sonicare Toothbrush means that it is being charged normally. It might take up to 24 hours to fully charge your brush, so leave it on charge and don’t worry.
Off The Charger
1. Flashing Green – When you use the Philips Sonicare Toothbrush and it gives a flashing green light, it means the battery is partially full. The brush will last you a long time, and you don’t have to worry about charging it just now.
2. Solid Green – When the light indicator displays a solid green light while you use your Philips Sonicare Toothbrush it means the battery is full. The full battery can last you two to three weeks of use before charging it again.
3. Flashing Orange + 3 Beeps – The flashing orange, along with 3 beeps, means that the battery of the Sonicare Toothbrush is running low. The brush might last you for some time but it is better to put it on charge, avoiding the risk of damaging the toothbrush battery.
4. Flashing Orange + 2 Sets of 5 Beeps – This might be the easiest one to guess as the brush wont turn on but throw orange lights at you with 5 beeps 2 times. When this happens its time to put your brush on charge and wait 24 hours for it to fully complete charging.
Now that I know what each light means on my Philips Sonicare Toothbrush, I don’t worry about anything. Hopefully, this breakdown will help you understand what these lights mean, so next time your Sonicare blinks, you’ll know exactly what it’s trying to say.
