Check your battery
Always double-check the battery life prior to doing a job. You don’t want to be mid-job and have a dead battery. To do this, pull 24V pack all the way out of tool. Next hit the side indicator button which will tell you exactly how much charge are remaining.

That’s it. Now that you’ve determined the level, top her off. Place your battery on the special charger and slide it in place so it lock into position. In order for it to start charging, it must make good contact. As soon as you put it down, the juice starts flowing.

The process is simple. You’ll know when it’s time by looking at the lights. The green LED will be flashing while it charge. That continues as long as it takes. Once it’s finished, light becomes a solid green and you can remove it immediately.
Understanding Charging Indicators

That’s a pretty strong signal. Capacity determines how long, of course. About an hour for a 2.0 Ah; that’s not bader as far as topping up goes (forty five minutes or so). For short jobs around the house, it’s good.
That is pretty fast for a quick top-up.
It is not instant, but reasonable. Naturaly, this means you have to be patient with the bigger packs. Charging one of these cells to full capacity will take about an hour and a half (that’s for a 4.0 Ah cell). It is not instant, but it’s not bad at all. Plan accordingly if you’re using it for a project.
Makes sense if you want max runtime. Want to go long? Go for the 8.0 Ah battery. At three hours or so on the charger, it’s worth the wait.


Sometimes lights act weird instead of just charging. Not only does it charge but sometimes it behave funny with the lights. There is also additional LEDs that indicate problems with temperature. They alert you when things aren’t right. This protect the cells inside from harm. That’s smart.
Solid red indicates heat trouble. Either the battery is too warm due to recent use or it was left out in the cold. Either way, it won’t begin charging.


That can be annoying. So you put the pack down, let it cool off, then go back and give it another shot and boom, it’s working fine now. Huh? Well yeah, it came right back to life. And from there on, it went well. Problem solved.
Knowing what all this means removes the guessing game for maintenance. No more looking in your manual to know what’s up. Look at the lights, look at the colors, look at the timer and you’ve got it. That would of made the workflow really efficient.
